New, efficient ways for the elemental analysis (C, N, S, Cl) of LPGs and CNGs

Organic gaseous hydrocarbons gaining more and more importance as an additive and supporting material in the production of e.g. pharmaceuticals or cosmetics. These hydrocarbons are part of liquefied pressurized gases/liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) or compressed natural gases (CNG).To assess the quality of these gases, analytical chemistry is an essential tool. Contents like sulfur can heavily impact the quality of the gases and therefore the quality of the hydrocarbons. Chemical analyses are difficult because gaseous samples are very challenging to handle – from sample handling, dosing to calibration for trace analysis.
